Often used as beasts of burden, a Drilgann can tunnel many miles in a single day without getting tired. Their claws can be spun individually to drill with precision.

As of Version 1.2.4, Mega Drilgann does not always have Sand Rush and will instead keep its ability from before it mega evolved. (No listing of claim in list of bugs or patch notes. Testing required to confirm) Click here for more info on known bugs.
Drilgann is one of two Pokémon that do not change their ability when Mega Evolving, the other being Inflagetah.
Mega Drilgann has the highest base Attack in Pokémon Uranium, above Mega Baariette and Mega Gyarados.
Design origin[]
Drilgann appears to be based off the pig moles (a type of underground livestock) found in Gurren Lagann. The eye area resembles the character Kamina's glasses.
Drilgann's Mega form resembles the Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann, a form of the main robot from Gurren Lagann, namely with the face on the stomach and the drill shoulders. The eye area resembles Simon's star-shaped glasses post-timeskip.

Drilgann is a combination of drill and Lagann, a robot from the anime Gurren Lagann which uses drills for various purposes such as attacking and combining.
