Dunseraph are very rare and seldom seen outside of captivity.
Upon evolving, Dunseraph lost all of its original types.
The only canonical Pokémon that share this trait are Alolan Marowak and Sirfetch'd.
Design origin
Dunseraph is based off the Tsuchinoko, a creature from Japanese mythology. It likely also draws inspiration from winged serpents and angels. It could also be based off of an Amphiptere, a type of winged serpent shown in heraldry.
Name Origin
Dunseraph comes from dun (grayish yellow) and seraph (the highest rank of angel in Christian theology).
