Trivia

  • Prior to 1.2.3, Dunseraph used Tyrogue's cry.
  • Dunseraph is the largest Pokémon in Tandor.
  • Upon evolving, Dunseraph lost all of its original types.
    • The only canonical Pokémon that share this trait are Eevee, Alolan Marowak.

Design origin

Dunseraph is based off the Tsuchinoko, a creature from Japanese mythology. It likely also draws inspiration from winged serpents and angels. It could also be based off of an Amphiptere, a type of winged serpent shown in heraldry.

Name Origin

Dunseraph comes from dun (grayish yellow) and seraph (the highest rank of angel in Christian theology).
