Trivia[]
- Prior to 1.2.3, Navighast used Conkeldurr's cry
Design Origin[]
Navighast is based on a skeletal ghost pirate captain. Its head resembles a Jolly Roger (the skull-and-crossbones flag flown by pirate ships when attacking). It may also draw inspiration from the canon Pokémon Cubone and Marowak or possibly a genie.
Name Origin[]
Navighast comes from navigate or navigator as well as ghastly or ghast (a name applied to a variety of fictional monsters, many of which have a ghostly appearance).
