As a protective technique, it can completely freeze its fur to make its hairs stand like needles.

Physiology[]
Glaceon is a quadruped, mammalian creature covered in light-blue fur that can be frozen into sharp quills. It has long, pointed ears, dark eyes, and a small nose. Glaceon has two dark blue, rhombus-shaped markings on its back, and the tip of its tail and feet are the same shade of blue. It appears to be wearing a teal tuque on its head and it has two teal dangles, one on each side of its head.
Special Abilities[]
This Pokémon is able to create small ice crystals around it by controlling its body temperature.
Behavior[]
Habitat[]
Glaceon is usually found in urban areas under the care of humans. It is rarely found in the wild.
According to Motofumi Fujiwara, a key person at Game Freak, Eevee was based on a vague childhood experience he had, He described seeing an "indefinable creature" and that Eevee was based on a drawing of all that he could remember of it.
Each one of Eevee's evolutions are based on the same design but are made to resemble their type.
Name Origin[]
Glaceon comes from glacier and eon (an immeasurably long period of time, presumably in reference to the concept of evolution). Eon is also a suffix shared by all Eeveelutions and was Eevee's prototype English name. Glaceon may also be an anagram of congeal (to solidify, especially through cooling).
