Location Location of Hazard Zone in West Tandor. |
Formerly the Route 8 Wheatfields, the Hazard Zone is the irradiated wasteland left by the explosion at Nuclear Plant Zeta.
After earning the eighth badge and completing the mission at Nuclear Plant Omicron, Kellyn will send you here, en route to Zeta.
You can return to the Hazma sanctuary after beating the game and any you did not catch will be available again. However, if the player lacks room in both their PC and Party to catch Pokemon, they will be required to faint all Hazma and will not be able to recieve a Hazma from Theo. Furthermore, the rest of the areas encounters will revert back to their previous Route 8 appearances and contents.

(A * next to level ranges denotes a nuclear form that cannot be found after this area. (Nuclear Arbok and Tanscure can be caught in a Horde encounter later, but only 1 time and they do not have Nuclear moves.) Only one nuclear location can be revisited by conventional means so collectors may wish to catch these Pokemon.)

Trivia[]
- Theo's Metalynx has Iron Defense, Leaf Blade, and Iron Tail instead of Night Slash, Energy Ball, and Meteor Mash.
- Nuclear Horde Pokemon here always have 10 IVs in all stats. Their moves also differ from other Nuclear Pokemon of the same level:
- Arboks in the 1st and 5th Hordes have Coil and Gunk Shot instead of Mud Bomb and Nuclear Waste.
- Horde Tanscures have Crunch and Sudden Strike instead of Taunt and Half-Life.
- Horde Barands have Take Down (which it cannot learn) and Dragon Claw instead of Slash and Dragon Dance.
- Pokemon in the 3rd Nuclear Horde lack all Nuclear moves.
- Baariettes in the 4rth Nuclear Horde also lack Nuclear moves, and the Trawpints have Radioacid instead of Toxic and lack their 4rth move (Swallow) entirely.
