Interconnectivity Features

As of Pokémon Uranium 1.0, this game includes features that allow players of the game to trade with and battle against one another. These features are the Global Trade Station, Wonder Trade, Virtual Trainer Battle, Online Lobby, and Mystery Gift.

Each of these is tied to the player's unique Online ID, which is consistent across all save files and cannot be changed. That means that only one Virtual Trainer Card and only one GTS Pokémon can be stored at any time.

Global Trade Station

The Global Trade Station can be accessed by talking to the NPC on the left on the top floor of any Pokemon Center. The GTS allows players to upload a Pokemon and request a trade. Players can search for a Pokémon they want, or they can offer their own Pokémon up and see if there are any trades asking for it. (There is also an option to search by Trainer ID, but it is non-functional at the moment.)

The GTS can be used to get rare Pokémon to help players complete their Pokédex.

Wonder Trade

Wonder Trade can be accessed by talking to the NPC on the left on the top floor of any Pokemon Center. WT lets players send out a random Pokémon and get a random one in return from another player. Since there is no way to know for certain what Pokémon you will get, it could be really common or it could be extremely rare.

Virtual Trainer

Virtual Trainer allows players to battle other trainers without needing the other player to be online. It can be accessed by talking to the NPC in the middle on the top floor of any Pokémon Center.

Virtual Trainer allows the player to upload their current Pokémon team and create a Virtual Trainer associated with their online ID, including dialogue and trainer type. These Virtual Trainers are controlled by the AI and can be battled by other players. Teams are ranked based on the average level of Pokémon on their team.

There are 2 types of battle, Ranked Battle and Friend Battle. For ranked matches, you are automatically paired with an enemy trainer whose average level is close to your team's. These battles count towards your VT's Win Percentage, which is scored on the leaderboards. For Friend Battle, you can search for somebody's Online ID and battle the Virtual Trainer associated with that ID.

Future releases of the game will have in-game rewards associated with Virtual Trainer battles.

Online Lobby

The Online Lobby allows players to directly connect with other players. It can be be accessed by talking to the NPC on the right on the top floor of any Pokémon Center.

Players can friend other players with their online ID, similar to the Virtual Trainer system. Unlike the GTS and Virtual Trainer system, however, the online lobby lets players battle and trade directly with one another, rather than using AIs or pre-planned trades.

Mystery Gift

Mystery Gift, accessible from the main menu of the game, allows the player to download a specific Pokémon or item that the developers have made available for everyone. This gift can only be download once to one save file. To get the gift, talk to the delivery person in any PokéMart.
