Trivia

Design inspiration

Krilvolver and Shrimputy are based on Alpheidae, commonly known as "pistol shrimp". They are known for snapping their claws hard enough to create a shock wave that can kill small fish.

Additionally, their colors were inspired by Mantis Shrimp. It also draws inspiration from a cowboy for the look of the revolver and the 10-gallon hat. Twitch's notes on the design can be found here.

From krill, small aquatic crustaceans, and revolver.
