Poison-type Pokémon cannot be poisoned. Additionally, any Poison-type Pokémon will consume Toxic Spikes on their side of the field when entering, save for Tonemy due to its Levitate ability.

- Prior to 1.2, Poison was the only type (besides Nuclear) that was not supereffective against Nuclear-type Pokémon.
