Location Location of Silverport Town in East Tandor.
A small coastal town sitting right at the foot of Mt. Lanthanite in East Tandor, tiny Silverport Town is your last breath of sunshine before trekking up the snowy mountain path towards your 7th gym challenge in Snowbank Town.
The woman living in the house at the very north of town has a unique talent: She can tell you what your Pokémon's Hidden Power is. Simply bring one of your Pokémon to her and she'll tell you.
A third Pokémon Professor in the Tandor Region makes his home in Silverport Town. He is an old classmate of Professor Bamb'o and he welcomes you to take a look around the lab, but something doesn't seem to feel right about Professor Larkspur: his aids talk about capturing Pokémon that have already been captured, Professor Larkspur defensively explains that time he was framed for plagiarism and that Owten in the lab seems extremely uncomfortable.
If you spoke to the Owten at Professor Larkspur's Laboratory, make sure to heal your party and purchase any healing items before heading north out of town. You'll see a group of thugs waiting for you beside the path. They want the Pokémon Speech Translator. They surround you, take your Pokémon and Bag, grab you, and then you blackout.
Fishing Boat[]
After defeating the Snowbank Town Gym, an old fisherman will have his boat out on the dock, bemoaning the presence of pirates in the area. He offers you a ride to Venesi City.
The 'fisherman' will slip up and use a pirate catchphrase, then abandon the disguise and reveal himself to be a pirate, who was planning to steal your Pokémon at sea. You are then challenged to a battle.
After defeating Pirate Jack, a real Sailor will give you rides from here to Venesi City, for free, any time you like. The ferry operator in Venesi will also offer you rides back to Silverport Town, though this leg costs 500.
The background music is a remix of Ruby/Sapphire's Oldale/Lavaridge Town.
The '092' password in the Larkspur Labs could be a reference to the atomic number of the element Uranium, 92.
The pirate being named "Jack" is almost certainly a reference to the character "Jack Sparrow" from the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise.
While not practical, the fight with Jack can be skipped by simply Surfing back the way you came. This will not stop the battle trigger on Route 14 but he will still have dialogue as if you had fought him. He can be fought at any time after (even after beating the Championship and/or beating him on Route 14).
