Above the town lies a mighty temple, within which the secret of Mega Evolution is guarded against the unworthy, only to be granted to those who have proven themselves through the many trials of the gym.
When you approach the pillars flanking the entrance, you find Theo waiting near the entrance in a new outfit, ready to take on the gym, at which point the acolyte of the Dragon standing at the door reveals that the challenge is customarily undertaken by pairs. Theo remarks how convenient this turned out to be, and confirms that he wants to take on the challenge with you. Once you confirm that you are ready to do so, the acolyte brings you both in to begin the challenge.
To the north of town and east of the PokéCenter, you'll see one house that is much bigger than the others. Talk to the woman inside, and she'll give you 3 Rare Candies. In the house next to it, you'll find a woman complaining about the cold, who will ask you if you have a Pokémon that knows Overheat. If you use Overheat to warm up her house she will reward you with a Dawn Stone.
In the first house, just east of the entrance to Snowbank Town from Route 16 lives the Pokémon dentist. He'll teach one of your Pokémon a move that requires strong teeth if they are able to learn it, at a price of 5,000.
Just north of the PokéMart lives an old man. When you speak to him he'll tell you about the trials of the Snowbank City Gym. It turns out he used to be an Acolyte of the gym himself, but has since gotten too old. For listening to his story he will reward you with the Drilgannite, which allows Drilgann to Mega Evolve when held in battle.
The Pokémon Dentist was removed from version 1.03 to 1.1.
Bamb'o referred to Tsukinami Village as Angelure Town in the cutscene when he gave you Dive. This was probably due to the fact that Angelure was the 8th Gym town in the Beta Versions, and the developers forgot to change that text box. This has now been fixed as of version 1.2.4.
