Trivia

  • Theriamp first became available in Beta 3.1 (1).
    • It was originally intended to make the fossil the player didn't choose available after completing the Tandor Championship.
  • Prior to 1.2.3, Theriamp used Vigoroth's cry.
  • Slothohm and Theriamp are the only Fossil Pokemon that do not belong to the Mineral (Egg Group)

Design origin

Theriamp is based on a Megatherium (a genus of elephant-sized ground sloths from the Pleistocene era) as well as electrical outlets (specifically those manufactured in the USA, Canada, and Mexico).

Name origin

Theriamp comes from megatherium or therion (Greek for "beast") and ampere (the SI unit of electric current.)
