Wide Guard is a defensive Rock-type move.

Wide Guard protects all Pokémon on the user's side of the field from damaging moves that target multiple Pokémon during that turn, including ones that hit all Pokémon on the field such as Earthquake and Surf, and even in Single Battles. Wide Guard cannot block status moves that target multiple Pokémon, such as Teeter Dance.

Wide Guard can be used consecutively without failing, although it decreases the chance of success for Protect, Detect, Endure and Spiky Shield. Using a different move or failing to use a protection move resets the success rate.

Feint and Shadow Force lift the effect of Wide Guard when successfully used on an opponent's team.
