Trivia

  • Prior to version 1.2, Xenomite used Venipede's cry, used before its Gen VI remade cry.
  • Xenomite is the only Pokémon with the Nuclear type naturally to be in an evolution line.

Design Origin

Xenomite is based off the facehugger, the second stage of life in a xenomorph's life cycle.

Name Origin

Xenomite is a combination of the words xenomorph (in reference to Ridley Scott's Alien movie franchise), and mite. Xeno may also derive from the prefix "xeno-", which is generally used in taxonomic names to denote strangeness.

Xenomite may also reference cenobite (a member of a communal religious order), which may refer to the Nuclear Pokémon working in unison with each other.
